Acai Berry as Source of Anthocyanins

Acai berry contains a high concentration of Anthocyanins, a phytochemical previously found in high concentration only in red wine. This chemical is believed to fight heart disease which was found to be in much lower occurrence in people who habitually drink red wine even though they are customary smokers and eat diets that are high in cholesterol and saturated fats.

Acai berry pulp has been found to contain ten times to thirty times more Anthocyanins than red wine of the same quantity. This was proven with the study done by various analysis conducted health experts worldwide.
